Mon Prince

Britta Dietsche applies a reversing prism in the series “Mon Prince”. It causes a change of the transferred image.  The woman in the mirror is hunter and hunted at the same time. Animals, illustrated as symbols, as well as the reflecting prism, make this obvious. 

The power of seduction triggers pleasure and desire. We usually conceal these human instincts, just as how the artist in her collages only alludes to them through different patterns and color gradients.
