In the series Unveiled, a woman’s torso is reproduced serially, filtered through various visual effects and patterns. Its nudity radiates intense beauty, which is nonetheless mediated through the use of visual effects: while the body is revealed to the viewer, after the fall of the veil, the artist is also hiding it by means of patterns and abstract layers. This series stresses the interest of Britta Dietsche in the tensions between abstraction and figuration, creating occasions for contemplation, but also for delusion, for the desiring eyes.
