Sunglasses

The focal point of the picture are the elegant sunglasses, which give the title to the artwork, corresponding to the more detailed and focalized part of the image. Symbol of elegance, mystery and intense summer light, the sunglasses are a screen between the eyes and the world. Mediating
and transforming our gaze, they thus become a metaphor of the several techniques Britta Dietsche is applying to the image, constituted by layers and filters obtained through an ample use of new media.
